SUMMARY:Comics and Zines - ILS School Year Camp
DESCRIPTION:Comics and zines have populated DIY underground art scenes for decades! We will create our own comic strips and zines to explore a visual form of storytelling. Campers will be inspired by local creators and illustrators as well as learn the history of zine and comic culture. We will use mixed media to create our own personal zine projects and make a comic strip in the traditional way that the pros use\, even today! \nThis week long camp is for kids 5 – 11 year old. Camp hours are 9am – 4pm\, but parents can add before camp for drop off from 8am and/or after camp for pick up until 6pm. \nLearn more and register at here. \n

DESCRIPTION:Make up class! \nOur Toddler Music and Movement class is more than singing and dancing—it’s an interactive music class where children learn to feel music in their bodies. Over six weeks\, we’ll explore percussion\, echoing and sequencing\, counting and marching\, ear training\, and early piano sounds. Some classes will feature percussion instruments\, while others include guitar or ukulele\, and drums. \nWith their caregivers\, children will learn to find the beat\, move their feet\, and build early music foundations through joyful routine and repetition.
