Youth Improv at ILS

August 01, 2022

Our mission at ILS is to foster children’s passion of the arts by providing a safe space to learn and experiment with different performing and visual arts forms.

This fall, we’re building on our foundation of music, drama, dance and fine arts, as we collaborate with CSz Seattle – Home of ComedySportz to bring Youth Improv to ILS Greenwood on Saturday mornings.

While teaching the important skills of storytelling and active listening, improv also encourages kids to be creative, work together, and be less judgmental of others.

On Saturdays from September 17th to November 19th, ILS is offering two classes: Improv for Kids at 10am (geared to our friends between 5 – 7 years old), and Improv Comedy for Kids at 11am (for our older friends between 8 to 10 years old).

These classes will be taught by Phoebe Richards, a Seattle based improvisor, director, teacher and podcaster. You can learn more about Teacher Phoebe and our Improv classes here: https://www.illuminationlearningstudio.com/weekend-classes/

Classes will be limited to 20 students per class. 10-sessions, class tuition will be paid in 2 payments of $175.00 billed the 1st of each month. Registration opens on August 1.
