5 Spooktacular Snacks to Make with Your Kids

October 14, 2019
  • I simply love the Fall. Like the feeling of the first autumn chill that requires your warmest fleece or sweater to sit outside. Or when you see the first brightly colored leaves changing before your eyes. And that first morning you reach to turn the dial on the thermostat to warm up the house before the kids get up for school.

For my family, fall has always been a fun time of year. We return to the kitchen to bake pumpkin bread, make meals together and experiment with as many recipes as we can find, making use of all the apples we’ve picked from the orchard.

Since my children were little, I’ve always enjoyed seeing their curiosity as they joined us in the kitchen, lured by the smell of something delightful baking in the oven. As parents we’ve treasured these moments to bond and spend creative time together

Even the youngest children love to get hands-on in the kitchen, getting as messy as you allow. Here are a few of our favorite recipes that kids of any age can have fun with. And in the spirit of October, these are appropriately themed for the season.
