ILS June Parent Newsletter

June 14, 2019

Dear ILS Families,

Thank you families and students for another great set of Student Showcase performances this past weekend.  It was really fun for our students as well as their families and our team.

With only three weeks of school left, we want to remind you to check the lost-and-found bins and take home all items before school ends for the year.  Left over items will be donated before camps begin in July.

Now we switch gears to get ready for Summer Camps. Mr. Nick and team have prepared a really fun line-up of new adventure themed camps. Don’t forget that music continues over the summer as well. If you’re a current music student, you can reach out to music@ilskids.com and let them know if you’re interested in buying a package of lessons over the summer months.

We have really enjoyed having you and your student as a part of our program and look forward to all of the friends we have returning next year, along with many new friends already signed up to join us. Our sites are either full or near full for fall enrollment and we are planning for another great year ahead.  Until then, enjoy your summer!

5th Grade Graduates!

We have several long-time students who will be aging out of ILS programming at the end of the school year. We have enjoyed watching them grow and wish them all the best as they enter middle school. We will miss you all!

Creative Arts Team Corner!

Art, Dance and Music

We are saddened to lose Ms. Meowset who has relocated to the East Coast with her husband and dogs.  She brought so much to our program and kids and will be missed by so many of us.  Our site teams are working on delivering these creative arts components in our last coupe weeks before school ends.  In the fall, we will have a new group of instructors to introduce and we couldn’t be more excited to see what the future has in store!

Voice

For the month of June, Mr. Nick will be reviewing the year in voice and music. ILS students will be reviewing Jazz, Africa, Opera, British Invasion, Indian Classical Music, Bollywood, and Music of Mexico!

Drama

For the month of June, Ms. Taylor will be having her film festival with ILS students. Students’ original films will be showcased at each site!
